One of City Harvest Church's most fascinating building features is the Broquad fountain which graces the stretch of the Riviera walkway. In the daytime, it may look merely like a simple and well-designed art piece, but come evening, when the spotlights turn on and reflections surface from the fountain, a warm glow spreads and permeates the Riviera area. Upon fist look, the cascading droplets of water actually resemble falling flakes of glistening gold! This is the first and only Broquard fountain in the entire Southeast Asian region, and the second in Asia (the other one is in Japan).
Overseeing the installation of the fountain in City Harvest Church was Pastor Tan Chee Kiang. "We faced some issues in the beginning regarding the curved wall. The fountain panels required a smooth surface in order for the water to fall evenly, Therefore, we had to do a lot

of hacking then. But as things started to progress, I fully enjoyed the experience of working with the people from the Broquard organization, especially with their artistic expertise and professional approach to work. Altogether, I worked with them for three months and within this short time frame, we were able to accomplish what is considered to be one of the most remarkable tasks of this church building project."
Internationally renowed artist Charles Jerome Broquard is the man behind the mastery of this beautifully designed water sculpture. The signature of any Broquard fountain lies in its sleek lines, elegant simplicity and the imaginative use of color and texture. Therefore, no two Broquard fountains look the same. Each one is individually commissioned. As such, it is true to say that CHC's Broquard fountain is unique and one of a kind!
